Nancy and I worked together at Gorton’s for nearly 15 years. She has all the classical marketing skills: strong strategic thinking, brand development, consumer communication, and packaging and marketing materials design, She has an intuitive feel for food product development and knows what it takes to put together successful new products and aggressively grow existing ones. She was responsible for many successful new product introductions at Gorton’s, most notably Grilled Fillets, arguably the most successful new production introduction in the company’s history.
In my time working with her, Nancy successfully combined her strong drive for results with a comfortable management style that allowed her to work with all types of people (often with varying agendas) and build powerful, high performing teams. She was a key member of my group for many reasons, but most importantly because she delivered superb results – consistently better than plan.
